About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Engineer to join our team at Apple. As a CAD Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing outstanding workflows for board design, collaborating with hardware engineering collaborators and teammates to specify, develop, and support solutions to improve the efficiency and productivity of our hardware engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define workflows to predict failures due to component behavior early in the design process.
  • Work with engineers to debug issues during the design process.
  • Develop a regression infrastructure to test and rollout new workflows/solutions and suggest design metrics that can be tracked.
  • Work with multi-functional partners to define use cases, brainstorm solutions, and generate product requirements.
  • Act as a domain expert and promote innovative ideas to the hardware engineering community.
  • Work with vendors to ensure that our Apple needs are understood and met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
  • At least 6 years of industrial experience developing workflows and working with EDA tools like Spice, System Capture with a deep understanding of system design methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Constraints driven designs and flows.
  • Understanding of power topology analyzer and mean time between failures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of training development and delivery.
  • Experience working with Customers and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of Confluence is a plus.
