About the RoleThis part-time Clinical Lactation Specialist position is available at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
As a Clinical Lactation Specialist, you will provide direct and indirect care to infants and women in both inpatient and outpatient settings, developing feeding plans to address nutritional needs and providing lactation support and education.
Key Responsibilities- Develop feeding plans to meet the nutritional needs of infants, including breastfeeding support, breast pumping support, and supplementation as appropriate
- Provide lactation support and education to patients, both inpatients and outpatients, in the clinic setting after discharge
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for mothers and babies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care and treatment plans
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Washington Registered Nurse License (active)
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (active)
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing lactation care in a Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, or SCN department or in an outpatient mother baby clinical setting
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (must obtain within 3 years of hire, or 20 years of RN experience)
