The Aviation Technical Records Specialist is a full-time role within Lighter Than Air Research, dedicated to collaborating with the Maintenance Controller Manager to oversee the digital transformation of Maintenance Records and Scheduling. The individual in this position will have a variety of responsibilities, which include but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Maintenance Controller in various tasks, such as:
  • Digitizing Maintenance Records and tracking Maintenance Programs
  • Monitoring the status of aircraft maintenance
  • Coordinating deferrals in accordance with the approved Minimum Equipment List (MEL)
  • Ensuring compliance of all Company aircraft with the General Maintenance Manual and relevant Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Programs
  • Working alongside company flight crews during operations to address unscheduled maintenance challenges
  • Communicating updates on aircraft status to Flight Test, Program Management, and other relevant parties
  • Guaranteeing adherence to Company protocols and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) for aircraft returning to service
  • Acting as a liaison with the Director of Maintenance regarding Company maintenance policies and procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with maintenance and inspection standards as outlined in company procedures, with meticulous completion of all maintenance records, reports, and release forms prior to service resumption
  • Executing and documenting all inspections, with final approval for return to service
  • Carrying out the responsibilities of the Maintenance Control Center while ensuring FAR compliance
  • Completing additional assigned duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
  • Possession of an FAA A&P license with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Proficient experience with Maintenance Tracking Software, preferably FlightDocs
  • Experience in converting and digitizing Maintenance Records.
