Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at AdaptHealth LLC. As a Ventilation Specialist, you will provide exceptional patient care to Vent patients, ensuring optimal outcomes and delivering high-quality respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to Vent patients in alternate sites, adhering to AdaptHealth's policies and procedures.
  • Utilize acquired knowledge to increase competencies and stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care practices.
  • Document procedures, patient interactions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with authorization for Ventilator referrals and participate in discharge planning for highly technical cases.
  • Collaborate with peers and other team members to resolve issues and ensure optimum outcomes for patients, referral sources, and staff.
Requirements
  • Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
  • Valid and unrestricted RT clinical license in all states serviced by the branch.
  • One (1) year of clinical experience as a Health Care RT, HME RT, or clinical nursing with Vent experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
Work Environment

As a Respiratory Therapist with AdaptHealth LLC, you will work in a fast-paced environment, providing clinical assessments and delivering high-quality patient care. You will be required to lift 50 pounds, stand, bend, and sit for extended periods. You may be exposed to unsanitary conditions in some home settings and work in areas with high crime rates. You will be expected to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
