Job Title: Patient Financial Advocate

Join Firstsource Solutions USA, LLC as a Patient Financial Advocate and play a vital role in ensuring patients receive the financial assistance they need.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Financial Advocate. In this role, you will be responsible for screening patients for eligibility assistance programs, providing information and reports to clients, and documenting results in our tracking tool and hospital computer system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review hospital census or utilize established referral method to identify self-pay patients consistently throughout the day.
  • Screen patients for State, County, and/or Federal eligibility assistance programs.
  • Document results of screening in onsite tracking tool and hospital computer system.
  • Face-to-face screen patients on site as able, or attempt to reach patients by telephone if unable to screen face-to-face.
  • Perform outside field work as required, including patient home visits to screen for eligibility of State, County, and Federal programs.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years' experience in medical coding, medical billing, eligibility (hospital or government), or other pertinent medical experience preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods of time. Medical screenings and vaccinations are required for this position. Working on holidays or odd hours may be required at times.
