Salary:$65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Machining Operations: Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations such as milling, turning, drilling, and grinding.
  • Blueprint Review: Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Cutting Tool Selection: Select and install cutting tools, attachments, and accessories according to job requirements.
  • Workpiece Handling: Load and unload workpieces and fixtures into the machine, ensuring proper alignment and secure clamping.
  • Machine Monitoring: Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during machining processes.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and engineers to optimize machining processes and improve overall productivity.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining, preferably in a production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of machining principles, including cutting tool selection and operation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
