Civil Litigation Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough legal research and compile pertinent information for ongoing cases.
  • Support attorneys by preparing essential legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and subpoenas.
  • Review and refine legal documents to ensure precision and clarity.
  • Organize and maintain comprehensive case files, documents, and correspondence.
  • Assist in trial preparation, hearings, and depositions.
  • File documents electronically with the appropriate court systems and agencies.
  • Perform various administrative duties to facilitate the legal team's operations.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Civil Litigation, preferably in a defense capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience with filing procedures in both State and Federal courts.
  • Proficient in all facets of litigation, including discovery processes, court deadline management, and trial preparation.
  • Skilled in legal research utilizing platforms such as Lexis-Nexis or equivalent.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with a talent for managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proficient proofreading capabilities.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines in a timely manner.
