Position Summary:

The Electrical Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing electrical initiatives and ensuring that financial and scheduling goals are achieved by utilizing all available resources, including workforce management. This role involves supervising Field Electricians to guarantee a seamless workflow on projects. The Manager serves as the main liaison for client inquiries and is dedicated to nurturing client relationships. Additionally, they are responsible for identifying new opportunities within client facilities, preparing job estimates, and maintaining follow-up communications with clients.

  • We are in search of a Manager with substantial experience in the commercial sector. Our project scope encompasses a wide range of work, from expansive commercial and industrial projects to minor tenant improvements.

  • Our projects span various locations, so travel is an essential requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee electrical projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary, scheduling, and quality standards
  • Manage all financial elements of projects through continuous job forecasting
  • Facilitate pre-construction meetings to ensure effective transitions from estimating to field execution
  • Collaborate with prefabrication and design teams
  • Work alongside foremen to coordinate and manage electricians
  • Establish clear objectives and expectations for foremen
  • Ensure that all work is performed safely
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Address and resolve all client concerns through negotiation
  • When necessary, provide estimates for change orders on assigned projects
  • Oversee all project closeout procedures
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement
  • Accurately estimate time and materials needed for projects and deliver timely quotes to clients
  • Manage work orders and authorize invoices
  • Maintain customer satisfaction while delivering exceptional service
  • Build and sustain a network of professional relationships within the industry

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (electrical engineering preferred)
  • At least 7 years of proven experience as an electrical project manager (experience with large projects and OSHA 30 certification preferred)
  • Previous experience in electrical estimating
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
