Cargo Therapeutics is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Global Program Strategy to lead the development and execution of program strategy for one or more development candidates. Key Responsibilities- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute program strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
- Partner with stakeholders to set clear direction and goals for a portfolio of pre-clinical and clinical stage therapies.

- Facilitate cross-functional communication and drive strategic and operational alignment with the Program team, functional leads, and Executive team.
- Identify challenges and risks and prepare the team with mitigations to navigate through technical and program challenges.
- Promote a culture of scientific rigor and excellent problem-solving skills across a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Serve as the single point of accountability for the Program team and drive key program decisions through appropriate governance forums.
- Advanced degree in life sciences or medicine and/or an MBA.
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership experience.
- 15+ years of relevant experience working directly in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry, with 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional development teams.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of drug development, from preclinical to late-stage development, including experience submitting BLAs and MAAs to the FDA and EMA.
- Able to comfortably dive into any area of the program, understand science, technical, and business needs, and make support decision-making based on changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills in order to represent the program to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in oncology, lymphoma, and/or cell therapy is preferred.
- Proven leadership and demonstrated ability to engage and influence team members at all levels in a matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated success in influencing colleagues and senior leaders in various departments.
- Ability to cultivate excellent cross-functional collaborations.
- Proven effectiveness developing and growing productive relationships with stakeholders in a range of disciplines.
- An inclusive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High energy and driven to deliver on program success.
Cargo Therapeutics offers a competitive salary range of $246,000 - $339,000, based on our assessment of skills and experience relevant to our needs for the role.
