About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to identify and pursue new business opportunities with high-value customers. This role requires a strong understanding of the hardlines industry, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with high-value customers.
  • Build relationships with industry partners and vendor representatives to stay up-to-date on the latest market trends and products.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure seamless transitions of newly opened accounts to Territory Managers.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry dynamics, market conditions, and competitor activity.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition of Emery Jensen Distribution, LLC to prospective customers and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in new business development or territory management.
  • Strong knowledge of the hardlines industry, preferably with existing book of business.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving sales targets and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
