Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the care plans for each resident, ensuring medication is administered according to physician directives and documented accurately.
  • Maintain daily records of tasks completed and any changes in resident conditions in line with local regulations.
  • Collaborate with fellow Medication Aides to ensure consistent and high-quality care.
  • Assist in meal service, including serving and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
  • Oversee staff during shifts to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Keep up with required certifications and participate in ongoing training as mandated by local and state authorities.
  • Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives, reporting any issues to supervisors for resolution.

  • Promote a safe working environment and assist in managing workplace incidents as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a caregiving capacity or related field.
  • State-required CMA Certification.
  • At least six months of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to interpret physician orders and accurately match them with Medication Administration Records.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology sufficient for medication administration and professional communication.
