Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and Record Patient Information: Gather and document patient history and clinical data to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Utilize Diagnostic Equipment: Operate ultrasound machines and other diagnostic equipment to produce high-quality images of internal body structures.
  • Adjust Technical Factors: Adjust scanning protocols and technical factors to accommodate patient size, age, and procedure requirements.
  • Interact with Physicians: Collaborate with interpreting physicians to provide written or oral summaries of technical findings.
  • Adhere to Hospital Policies: Comply with hospital policies and professional standards to ensure a safe and clean environment of care.
  • Promote Patient Confidentiality: Maintain the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education and Training: ARDMS and/or RVT registered or registry eligible, with previous ultrasound experience preferred.

Work Environment: This is a variable weekday and weekend position, with opportunities to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment at Silver Cross Hospital.
