Medical Support Professional

At Balance Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Support Professional to join our team. As a Medical Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our podiatrists in their daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms
- Take vital signs and perform ancillary tests as needed
- Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient files and ensure rooms are stocked with necessary supplies
- Apply dressings, bandages, and splints as ordered by providers
- Ensure a sanitized and safe working environment
- Maintain HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate services between multiple practices and communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Schedule appointments and accurately document patient information
Requirements:
- Critical thinking skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies
- Adaptability to changing technology and ability to learn new skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic typing skills and ability to use EMR systems
- Experience in an outpatient practice and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of medical assistant experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Current American Heart Association CPR Certification
- Certification from an approved medical assistant program or equivalent combination of training
