Job Overview:
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Effective communication skills with colleagues and donors.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on a regular basis.
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness in and around the donation collection area at the start and end of each shift.
- Dress appropriately according to the organization's dress code.
- Assist donors in unloading items from their vehicles and provide receipts.
- Keep accurate records and paperwork as directed by supervisors.
- Sort and organize donated materials into designated containers and stack them as instructed.
- Support drivers and personnel with loading donations onto vehicles as needed.
- Notify supervisors of any necessary supplies before running out.
- Secure and lock the donation collection area at the end of each shift.
- Foster positive relationships with property or store managers.
- Obtain written approval for any overtime from the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
