The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is a non-profit organization that provides rehabilitation programs and services to individuals in need. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Associate/Material Handler to join our team at our Santa Rafael Thrift Store.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Sales Associate/Material Handler to assist with the daily operations of our thrift store. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the receipt and stocking of donated items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment by stocking shelves, folding and hanging clothing, and performing other tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with the receipt and stocking of donated items, including unloading and sorting donations, and processing donations for sale.
  • Follow all policies and procedures related to cash handling, customer service, and store operations.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
