STV is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Document Controls Specialist with hands-on experience using Kahua for document management to join our team in the Richmond, VA area.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project documentation and ensuring the proper flow, storage, and accessibility of documents throughout the project lifecycle.

This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills to support the project team and ensure that all documentation adheres to company and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage document control processes for projects, ensuring all documentation is accurate, organized, and easily retrievable.

Utilize Kahua for document management, ensuring that all project-related documents are uploaded, categorized, and stored correctly.

Set up and maintain workflows in Kahua for document approvals, reviews, and revisions.

Ensure compliance with internal and external document control standards and protocols.

Manage document version control and track revisions, approvals, and distribution of documentation.


Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure all required documents are up to date and available.

Support end users with Kahua by providing training, troubleshooting, and assistance in navigating the platform.

Audit document control processes regularly to ensure accuracy and efficiency, recommending improvements where necessary.

Assist in project closeout by ensuring that all final documents are compiled, archived, and properly handed over.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in document control, preferably within construction, real estate development, or infrastructure projects.

Hands-on experience with Kahua as an end-user in a document control or project management capacity.

Strong understanding of document management principles, including version control, workflows, and file organization.

Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and train end users.

Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other document control systems.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with other document control systems and software used in the construction or infrastructure industry.

Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in document control, such as ISO 9001.

Certification in document control or project management (e.g., PMP, CDCP).

Compensation Range:
$68, $91,413.00
