Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the vision, mission, and values of Universal Studios Hollywood are embraced and upheld throughout the organization. This position is crucial in fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a professional and collaborative work environment that inspires and motivates all team members.
  • Oversee daily operations and development of the Show Quality supervision and casting teams, ensuring effective management of staff and processes.
  • Lead the Show Quality management team to guarantee consistent and high-quality performance feedback for all entertainment elements.
  • Directly manage the Show Quality team, ensuring effective casting efforts and maintaining high standards across all processes.
  • Provide mentorship and support to Assistant Managers and team members, addressing performance issues and recognizing achievements.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to develop action plans aimed at enhancing team member and guest satisfaction.
  • Work closely with various park departments to address employee and guest situations efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements by partnering with Human Resources and Labor Relations.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives by adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Show Quality and Casting Management:

  • Ensure the Show Quality team provides regular performance feedback aligned with the creative vision of each show.
  • Develop and maintain a tracking system for performer notes and feedback, collaborating with management to uphold standards.
  • Design and implement training programs for all performer roles, ensuring consistency and quality across the department.
  • Stay informed about industry standards in performance and feedback methods, enhancing the team's skill set.
  • Regularly review entertainment elements to ensure product quality and address any concerns promptly.
  • Create timelines for show quality initiatives, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and internal partners to support operational needs.
  • Assist in budget management in collaboration with senior leadership, ensuring adherence to company procedures.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to promote awareness and consistency in quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • BFA or 5+ years of experience in themed entertainment preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a live entertainment or theatrical setting.
  • Experience in managerial or supervisory roles.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in delivering performance feedback in both individual and group settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical abilities.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently under pressure.

Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000 (Bonus Eligible)
