Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the vision, mission, and values of Universal Studios Hollywood are embraced and upheld throughout the organization. This position is crucial in fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a professional and collaborative work environment that inspires and motivates all team members.
- Oversee daily operations and development of the Show Quality supervision and casting teams, ensuring effective management of staff and processes.
- Lead the Show Quality management team to guarantee consistent and high-quality performance feedback for all entertainment elements.
- Directly manage the Show Quality team, ensuring effective casting efforts and maintaining high standards across all processes.
- Provide mentorship and support to Assistant Managers and team members, addressing performance issues and recognizing achievements.
- Collaborate with other department managers to develop action plans aimed at enhancing team member and guest satisfaction.
- Work closely with various park departments to address employee and guest situations efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements by partnering with Human Resources and Labor Relations.
- Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives by adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Show Quality and Casting Management:
- Ensure the Show Quality team provides regular performance feedback aligned with the creative vision of each show.
- Develop and maintain a tracking system for performer notes and feedback, collaborating with management to uphold standards.
- Design and implement training programs for all performer roles, ensuring consistency and quality across the department.
- Stay informed about industry standards in performance and feedback methods, enhancing the team's skill set.
- Regularly review entertainment elements to ensure product quality and address any concerns promptly.
- Create timelines for show quality initiatives, ensuring all milestones are met.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and internal partners to support operational needs.
- Assist in budget management in collaboration with senior leadership, ensuring adherence to company procedures.
- Conduct regular team meetings to promote awareness and consistency in quality standards.
Qualifications:
- BFA or 5+ years of experience in themed entertainment preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in a live entertainment or theatrical setting.
- Experience in managerial or supervisory roles.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in delivering performance feedback in both individual and group settings.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical abilities.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000 (Bonus Eligible)
