Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Supervisor to join our team at Avibank Manufacturing, Inc., a PCC Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the quality assurance teams to ensure quality production of products consistent with established standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise employees in the Quality Assurance Department in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Interview, onboard, develop, and train employees, creating a successful cross-trained team.
  • Manage employee schedules for both first and second shift teams, planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Appraise performance, reward, and discipline employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Inspect complex machine parts, formulate and maintain quality assurance objectives, and interpret quality assurance philosophy to key personnel.
  • Design and implement quality assurance training programs, determine required training for the team, and conduct training.
  • Partner with Operations Teams to deliver Quality related training to identified teams.
  • Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation, apply statistical process control methods, and decide whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor.
  • Review all data obtained during quality assurance activities, develop new approaches to solve problems, and keep management team abreast of significant issues or developments.
  • Prepare and present technical and program information to the management team, direct technical and administrative workers, and maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
Requirements
  • Possess good written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Positive can-do orientation, ability to deal effectively with a broad range of personalities, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated project/team management capabilities, strong facilitation skills, conflict resolution, and project management skills.
  • Interact well and with a high degree of urgency with customers, and at all levels within the organization, as well as across organizations.
  • Confidence in working with ambiguity and handling complexity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years of Supervisory experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in aerospace/fastener/metals manufacturing industries, with strong knowledge of all fastener materials preferred.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems.

  • A competitive salary range of $85,300 to $127,900 US Dollar (USD) Salaried.
