Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Admissions Advisors play a crucial role in guiding students to develop competitive and strategic college applications that align with their academic aspirations.
  • They collaborate with families, offering support in college essay writing, resume development, and interview preparation, while also leading seminars and conducting workshops focused on academic and extracurricular strategies.
  • In addition to direct engagement with students and parents, Advisors work closely with the broader Flex College Prep Admissions Consulting team to conduct research, share insights, and contribute to long-term initiatives.
  • Travel between regions may be required.

Work Environment:

  • Flex College Prep operates in a collaborative and innovative setting.

Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required (preferably from a U.S. Top 50 institution).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a college admissions consultant or counselor is essential.
  • Exceptional communication skills to build rapport with students, parents, educators, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for higher education.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of the U.S. college admissions process.
  • Professional presentation skills are a must.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, project management skills, and initiative.
  • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends (Full-Time: Tuesday - Friday 11:30am - 8:30pm and Saturdays 8am - 5pm).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within an admissions office is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work from various locations is desirable.
