Job Overview

CareerPaths NW is seeking a dedicated Building Automation Specialist I to enhance our innovative team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional mechanical solutions and involves participation in the On-Call Service rotation while collaborating with various departments, including Service, Construction, and Panel Shop.

The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in building management systems (BMS), particularly with Tridium N4 and Distech controls. This position presents a unique chance to engage with cutting-edge building automation technologies, ensuring the peak performance and efficiency of mechanical systems across commercial and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop BMS N4 stations and databases from inception.
  • Lead project checkout and commissioning activities (MOP and MCM).
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as dictated by project requirements.
  • May act as a Service lead for scheduled preventive maintenance, service requests, and project initiatives.
  • Oversee the assembly of BMS control panels.
Qualifications
  • At least 18 months of experience as a Technician II or similar role in the industry.
  • Tridium N4 certification is mandatory.
  • Completion of Distech Controller and Distech GFX training courses.
  • Proven capability to establish BMS stations and configure networks within a station, including BACnet, LonWorks, MODBUS, and IP.
  • Expertise in assessing network architectures, addressing devices, and translating Sequences of Operation into logical procedures and formats.
  • Skilled in creating BMS stations and adjusting network configurations.
  • Ability to analyze network frameworks and effectively address devices.
  • Competence in converting Sequences of Operation into structured logical steps and formats.
