Database Performance Engineer

The Customer Success Database Performance Engineer position is a key role in Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure team. As a reactive engagement specialist, you will work directly with customers to resolve database performance issues affecting their Oracle OMCS applications.
You will be responsible for collaborating with customers, Oracle lines of business, and executive management to achieve customer success. This involves developing and maintaining relationships with senior management across lines of business and third parties.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Oracle Applications and Database support processes, as well as experience in a Service Delivery environment. You will be a self-starter who can work autonomously and independently, with a strong ability to provide solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Main contact for Oracle customers during Hyper Care engagements
- Manages accountability for both Global Application Delivery Services and customers
- Develops and maintains relationships with senior management across lines of business and third parties
- Plans and deploys support activities to ensure effective delivery of a partnership with the customer
- Advises customers on database performance topics and provides solutions
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of database administrator, support of databases or database development experience
- Cloud Technical knowledge
- Experience within a Service Delivery environment
- Self-starter with ability to work autonomously and independently
- Previous experience with Oracle Solutions preferred
