Job Summary

Quadrant is seeking a highly skilled Database Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale database systems. Your expertise in database administration, management, and security will be crucial in ensuring the integrity and performance of our database infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and implement database systems to meet business requirements
* Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views
* Provide primary support to business-critical SQL Server applications
* Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases in Kubernetes and Linux environments
* Collaborate with system engineers on database coding issues and provide technical guidance

Requirements

* 6+ years of experience in database administration and management
* 5+ years of experience using SQL tools to monitor daily database activity and health
* Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud services (Azure, AWS)
* Proficiency in SQL and experience with PL/pgSQL or similar procedural language
* Experience with Linux/Unix and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and JSON

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience executing utility requirements such as reorganization, backup, and recovery
* Experience analyzing and resolving database system production problems
* Experience advising system engineers on database coding issues

Education

* BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics

Security Clearance

* Active TS/SCI eligible clearance required
