Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgical Scheduler to join our team at M.I.N.D. in Farmington Hills, MI. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will be responsible for scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, and coordinating pre-surgical and post-surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule appointments for outpatient surgical procedures and obtain prior authorizations as needed
  • Coordinate pre-surgical and post-surgical procedures in accordance with physician guidelines for pain management
  • Communicate with physicians, anesthesia, and other office personnel to ensure accurate and timely paperwork
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information to ensure accurate billing and coverage
  • Assist patients with their outpatient procedural boarding, educating them on their procedure and instructions
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Basic understanding of health insurance and Greenway appointment scheduling software
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with varying hours between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Travel to our office in Farmington Hills, MI may be required for training and meeting purposes.
