Therapy Staff EDU is currently in search of a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist specializing in educational services for a local contract position.

The role of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is crucial in supporting schools to avert academic challenges through various initiatives, including Response to Intervention (RTI). SLPs are expected to apply evidence-based practices (EBP) in their preventive strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment: Conduct evaluations in collaboration with educational staff to identify students with communication disorders and guide instructional strategies.
  • Intervention: Deliver tailored interventions suitable for each student's age and learning requirements, utilizing an evidence-based decision-making framework.
  • Program Design: Develop comprehensive school-wide programs that implement a range of service delivery models within the least restrictive environment for students with disabilities.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Maintain accountability for student outcomes through data-driven decision-making, including the collection and analysis of individual student data and overall program evaluation.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, as well as local policies, while fulfilling job responsibilities. This includes tasks such as Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and treatment planning.
