Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with speech, voice, or swallowing disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify patients with potential speech or language disorders.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on speech and language development, disorders, and treatment options.
  • Document patient progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • National certification in speech pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Board certification and licensure in the state of Washington.
  • At least one year of experience in speech-language pathology, preferably in a skilled nursing setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
