The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is seeking a Scientific Journalism Manager to lead the development of patient-facing and scientific content. This role requires 10-12 years of professional experience in journalism, including healthcare journalism, and excellent editorial skills.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English or a related field and be able to work effectively in a team environment. They will also possess superior communication skills, including editorial skills such as editing and proofreading, and be proficient in Associated Press Style with the ability to translate high science for general audiences.

This role includes designing and building a self-contained news bureau, defining and ensuring compliance with contemporary journalistic standards, overseeing a team of content developers, and partnering with IT to create and maintain effective information systems. The estimated salary for this position is $130,000-$160,000 per year, based on location and experience.
