Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for advising and assisting in the development of short- and long-range scientific planning, establishing goals and objectives for research programs, developing budgets, managing post-award evaluation, and administering the peer review process. The successful candidate will also prepare material describing advances in the research supported by their program, contribute to policy and procedural improvements, represent the program, division, and agency during outreach to professional societies and institutions, and coordinate efforts with other programs in NSF, other Federal agencies, and organizations.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field plus after award of the Ph.D., six or more years of successful research, research administration, and/or managerial experience pertinent to the position.
