Position Overview

Role Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, the Clinic Nurse, whether a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, is essential in delivering exceptional healthcare services to patients at Advance Community Health. This role involves close collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive medical care and enhance patient well-being. Key responsibilities encompass performing patient evaluations, administering clinical services, providing health education, and facilitating effective communication among care teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, focusing on immediate healthcare needs.
  • Administer patient care within the defined scope of practice as instructed by healthcare providers.
  • Educate patients and their families on health-related topics.
  • Manage patient communications, gather necessary information, and relay to healthcare providers.
  • Oversee the immunization program and supervise Medical Assistants.
  • Organize Nurse/MA clinic schedules and assist with Medicare Annual Wellness Visits.
  • Stay informed on current medical practices and serve as a professional example within the clinic.
  • Assist with prescription management, patient documentation, lab results, and follow-up communications.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Carry out other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Supervisory Duties

  • Provide training and guidance to clinical support personnel.

Qualifications

  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a valid RN or LPN license in North Carolina is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient or public health environment is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, a customer-oriented approach, and excellent communication skills.

Work Environment

The work setting is characterized by a moderate noise level. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with flexibility (No Remote Option available). 8-hour shifts excluding breaks.
