Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Program Officer I. This role will support the implementation of research and evaluation initiatives in global and US-settings, with a focus on gender equity and gender-based violence prevention and response.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to field staff during trainings, pre-testing, and data collection.
  • Manage data analysis, including descriptive and qualitative analysis.
  • Monitor and implement study protocols, workplans, and SOPs.
  • Supervise student RA teams and provide guidance on data management and analysis.
  • Coordinate data collection operations, including field testing, IRB submission, and technical input.
  • Support capacity-strengthening activities for partners and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to qualitative and quantitative analysis, manuscript development, and dissemination activities.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, International Development, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in study operations, research, or programming, preferably in low- or middle-income countries.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and facilitate collaboration with external partners and students.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three or more years of experience working in academic or research environments with diverse partners.
  • Experience in JHU procurement and vendor relations.
  • Content expertise in gender equity and gender-based violence or related fields.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule, requiring occasional travel up to 20% of the time.
