Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at The Chefs' Warehouse. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of products to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, and shipping instructions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Operate electric pallet jacks and stand-up forklifts to move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and break down products by SKU, quantity, and product type to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Effectively communicate with Receivers, Drivers, and Forklift Operators to ensure seamless warehouse operations.
  • Adhere to proper safety practices for truck and trailer pull processes on a daily basis.
  • Sort and store goods in designated areas of the warehouse to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Responsible for the proper handling of all company-issued equipment, including PPE and voice equipment.
  • Report any safety concerns in the work environment in a timely manner.
  • Wear company-issued uniforms to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or move orders to the loading dock to prepare for shipping.
  • Label pallets with identifying information when instructed.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers when necessary.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
