Position Overview


The Senior Client Consultant serves as the pivotal connection within our organization, responsible for engaging with mid to large enterprise accounts, ensuring their development and satisfaction.

Acting as the primary liaison for our esteemed clients, they cultivate robust relationships and trust.

As a subject matter expert, they are adept at scoping, discussing, and strategizing initial concepts with clients, whether independently or with the support of other Shaker teams.

The Senior Client Consultant collaborates with media and vendors to stay informed about emerging trends and offerings.

This role may receive guidance from a Team Director or VP of Client Service.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily management of client accounts

  • Engage proactively with clients through various communication channels; travel may be necessary.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the client organization.
  • Foster and sustain connections with clients, internal teams, and partners.
  • Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, identifying new collaborative opportunities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of client dynamics, including business goals, target audience needs, challenges, and budgets.
  • Serve as the internal advocate for clients within Shaker, coordinating deliverables seamlessly.
  • Manage multiple clients and project priorities concurrently.
  • Develop long-term strategies to achieve client objectives.
  • Support the team in preparing proposals and media recommendations, ensuring alignment with client goals.
  • Consult on and finalize client contracts (media or otherwise).
  • Drive consistent growth and client billing across all levels.

The Senior Client Consultant possesses a strong command of all key service areas within our organization.

They consult with clients independently or with minimal support, identifying and scoping opportunities in the following domains:

Branding:
Employer value proposition, employer branding, campaign development

Creative Services:
Video production, collateral materials, brochures, etc.

Programmatic Advertising:
Ad purchasing and campaign management

Social Media:
Platform management, community engagement, social strategy, and best practices

Digital Marketing Campaigns:
Search engine marketing, pay-per-click advertising

Interactive Solutions:
Website design, microsites, landing pages, digital assets, etc.

  • Knowledge of technology solutions (ATS, CRM, sourcing tools, etc.).
  • Identify and activate growth opportunities through consultative sales.
  • Effectively scope and close projects and campaigns, delivering comprehensive strategy recommendations.
  • Curate customized offerings to enhance client value, whether through internal development or external sourcing.
Client Operations

  • Understand Shaker's offerings and manage client initiatives within each core category (execution, reporting, etc.).
  • Act as the primary support for assigned clients.
  • Field and address client requests efficiently.
  • Manage multiple clients and project priorities concurrently.
  • Prepare media recommendations based on client objectives and budgets.
  • Create orders and manage them through to final approval, ensuring accuracy.
  • Submit forms for internal and reporting requests, providing comprehensive details for optimal client deliverables.
  • Follow up with departments to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Attend all agency media/vendor presentations.
  • Maintain records of current projects and archives of past work as needed.
  • Manage all client billing inquiries and requirements.
  • Assist the accounting team in timely invoice retrieval.
  • Execute media plans, coordinating all assets and agreements.
  • Ensure client approvals are secured before deadlines.
  • Provide guidance on order creation and billing processes.
  • Prepare well-crafted, branded presentations.
Project Leadership

The Senior Client Consultant excels at overseeing all projects within their client portfolio, collaborating with Client Consultants and key department personnel to ensure objectives and timelines are met.


  • Effectively manage multiple projects and clients, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Navigate challenging conversations regarding scope changes and timelines with professionalism.
  • Maintain respectful relationships with all internal agency departments.
  • Oversee the execution of media plans, assets, contracts, and billing.
  • Track and report media performance against plans, advising the team on strategic adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide regular feedback and business forecasts to management regarding opportunities.
Engagement with Media/Vendors

  • Attend all agency media/vendor presentations.
  • Engage with media/vendors to understand product offerings that align with client goals.
  • Participate in final presentations to new prospects as assigned.
