Job Summary:

The US District Court is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Office Specialist I to join our team. As an Office Specialist I, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Clerk's Office, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to the bench, bar, and public.
  • Process and manage electronic case filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and verify documents for conformity with court rules and regulations.
  • Maintain the integrity of our filing system, ensuring proper access and timely filing of documents.
  • Certify court documents and ensure data quality.
  • Prepare, ship, and retrieve records from the Federal Records Center.
  • Receive and stamp incoming documents.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate (or equivalent) with two years of general experience and one year of specialized experience at the CL 23 level.
  • Progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience requiring the regular and recurring application of clerical procedures.
  • Ability to apply a body of rules, regulations, directives, or laws, and involve the routine use of specialized terminology and automated software and equipment.
