We are seeking a highly skilled Nutritionist III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a Nutritionist III, you will play a critical role in protecting the health and safety of residents in long-term care facilities across Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site inspections and investigations in long-term care facilities to assess compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
Communicate effectively with facility staff, residents, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
Develop and implement plans to correct deficiencies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct quality assurance reviews of documents and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Testify in court proceedings as needed to provide expert testimony on policy, procedures, and findings.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
Professional certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
