Job Summary: The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services seeks a highly skilled Nutritionist III to join our team. As a Nutritionist III, you will play a critical role in protecting the health and safety of residents in long-term care facilities by conducting on-site inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site inspections and investigations in long-term care facilities to assess compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Communicate clearly and accurately with facility staff, residents, and other stakeholders to provide information and address concerns.
  • Develop and implement plans to correct deficiencies and improve food safety practices.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports of inspections and investigations, including findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, investigations, and other activities.

Requirements:
  • Professionally qualified as a dietician.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition standards of practice, dietary sanitation practices, and clinical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.
