Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nutritionist III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a Nutritionist III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of residents in long-term care facilities across Texas.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site inspections and investigations in long-term care facilities to assess compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

Communicate clearly and accurately with facility staff, residents, and other stakeholders to provide information, answer questions, and address concerns.

Develop and implement plans to correct deficiencies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Conduct quality assurance reviews of documents and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Testify in court proceedings as needed to provide information and evidence.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.

Professional certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).

Strong knowledge of nutrition standards, dietary sanitation practices, and clinical skills.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to travel to various locations throughout Texas.
