POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides comprehensive care tailored to the needs of adult and elderly patients.
He/she exemplifies a commitment to a patient-centered philosophy in holistic nursing care.
Exhibits adaptability, teamwork, and ingenuity when interacting with patients, visitors, healthcare providers, and hospital staff.
The LPN is accountable for planning, overseeing, and assessing the nursing care delivered to patients, ensuring alignment with the nursing process, medical care plan, and institutional policies.

Education:
Completion of an accredited nursing program, validated by state licensure.
Diploma or academic transcripts required upon hiring.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or healthcare-related setting.
Licenses/Certificates:
Current Tennessee Licensed Practical Nurse license. BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross). ACLS certification preferred.
General Responsibilities
Uphold professional ethics by maintaining confidentiality regarding the personal, financial, medical, or employment information of patients and their families.
Engage in performance improvement initiatives.
Utilize the nursing process to manage and deliver age-appropriate patient care.
Support the development, implementation, and modification of individual performance plans.
Encourage open communication with managers, colleagues, staff, and healthcare providers.
Guide, mentor, discipline, and assess nursing staff and team members.
Educate and uphold patient rights.
