This role values Bilingual English/Spanish skills. While bilingualism is preferred, it is not mandatory. If you possess the requested language skills and successfully pass the assessment, you may be eligible for a 5% pay differential.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related discipline; OR
  • A Bachelor's degree in any field with one year of relevant human services experience (e.g., assisting individuals and groups facing challenges such as economic hardship, employment issues, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, health concerns, cultural competencies, and inadequate housing); OR
  • An Associate degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related field AND two years of relevant human services experience; OR
  • Three years of relevant human services experience.
  • Submission of a resume or Workday profile is required.

  • Proficiency in Holistic Family Assessment and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews with participants to assess family needs and eligibility.
  • Identify alternative resources and connect clients to community services.
  • Complete program applications for benefits and issue appropriate support payments if eligible.
  • Engage clients in evaluating family strengths.
  • Collaboratively develop a case plan outlining steps toward self-sufficiency and guide job search activities.
  • Assess initial applicants and ongoing participants to coordinate and arrange services that assist families in achieving self-sufficiency while meeting their basic needs.
  • Monitor progress and needs, making necessary adjustments to the family's case plan.
  • Coordinate case management functions with other service providers.
  • Participate in case staffing, employment readiness, life skills training, and supported job search as needed.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced position with a high volume of individual and family interactions.
  • Engagement with a diverse clientele requiring compassionate and professional responses.
  • Work conducted in offices, clients' homes, and various community locations.
  • Work hours may vary, including evenings and weekends, with potential overtime required.
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are necessary. If you do not have a driver's license, you must provide an alternative transportation method.
  • Some overnight travel may be necessary for statewide meetings and training.
