Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at The Chefs' Warehouse. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, and shipping instructions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Move materials and products from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas, utilizing electric pallet jacks and stand-up forklifts.
  • Sort and break down products by SKU, quantity, and product type, ensuring accurate and efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Effectively communicate with Receivers, Drivers, Driver Check-in, and Forklift Operators to ensure seamless operations.
  • Adhere to proper safety practices for truck and trailer pull processes, and report any safety concerns in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the proper handling of all company-issued equipment, including PPE and voice equipment.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or move orders to the loading dock to prepare for shipping.
  • Label pallets with identifying information when instructed, and open bales, crates, and other containers as necessary.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
