About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engagement Manager to join our team at Amazon Web Services, Inc. As a Senior Engagement Manager, you will play a critical role in leading our customers through their cloud journey, transforming their business, and driving innovation throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional teams to understand customer mission objectives and define project goals
  • Collaborate with customers to create and execute a plan to achieve project goals, leveraging AWS technologies and best practices
  • Guide customers through their cloud journey, using agile delivery methodology to lead project teams and manage scope, schedule, and cost
  • Use management and leadership capabilities to successfully execute project plans, remain sensitive to customer needs, and resolve issues
  • Work with customers to exceed expectations by enabling stakeholders' capabilities and increasing cloud adoption
  • Represent AWS within the customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation
Requirements
  • 7+ years of customer-facing, large-scale implementation consulting experience across multiple cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise-level IT projects, at least 3 years of which followed documented methodologies such as Agile
  • Experience supporting National Security mission systems
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • At least one active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, CPO, PMI-PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2)
  • Understanding of the value proposition of the public cloud and experience delivering cloud engagements (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • Proven success working with teams and executive leadership in a complex enterprise environment as a project manager or program manager
  • 3+ years of experience with US Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and US Government contracting
  • 5+ years of experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC)
