Veterinary Technician

VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency and Critical Care team. As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch emergency care to animals in need.
Key Responsibilities:- Triage: Quickly assess patient condition, including vital signs and owner information.
- Venipuncture and IV Placement: Skilled in venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed treatments and medications.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with all hospital staff for optimal patient care.
- ICU Monitoring: Vigilantly monitor patients and report changes promptly.
- Client Education: Provide clear discharge instructions to pet owners.
- Diagnostic Imaging: Assist with capturing diagnostic images.
- Laboratory Procedures: Run diagnostics and notify veterinarians of results.
- Blood Transfusion: Handle collection, administration, and reactions.
- Oxygen Administration: Administer oxygen as needed.
- Assist Doctors: Support veterinarians during exams and procedures.
