Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled RF System Specialist to join our team at Shyft6. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level technical support for our specialized communications systems and product applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for RF systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation and focus on trend analysis and thorough documentation of results.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of software-driven electronics, provisioning of communications system infrastructure, and performance optimization of RF, Microwave, and IT Systems.
  • Work on a rotating on-call schedule, responding to calls at any hour of the day, and driving to customer sites to work on technical issues.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in LMR/RF Systems or IT systems.
  • 2-year degree in electronics preferred but not required; 3-8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a 2-year degree.
  • Currently possess or obtain within 180 days of employment, an FCC General Radio Operators License (GROL).
  • Knowledge of RF Systems, including transmitters, receivers, microwave systems, and antenna networks, or knowledge of IT systems, Microsoft Servers, Active Directory, VMware, Red Hat Linux, Cisco, and TCP/IP.
  • Ability to travel 25% for overnight stays and lift a minimum of 70 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Valid US Driver's license and ability to pass a U.S. driving test.
