Production and Lean Management Leader for On Wing Support

The Production and Lean Operations Leader at the DFW On Wing Support facility is responsible for guiding production and shop activities within the On Wing Support division. This role encompasses the ownership and facilitation of lean methodologies and ongoing enhancements for the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all direct reports.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory agency requirements.
- Oversee training plans and authorizations for all technical personnel.
- Manage performance of the technical team, including setting priorities, coaching, and executing performance improvement plans as necessary.
- Address production challenges, recommend operational adjustments, and assess risks.
- Oversee labor utilization of the direct workforce, including demand forecasting and trend analysis.
- Foster and enhance relationships with OWS MEA customers, customer teams, and other local stakeholders.
- Manage product flow through the shop in collaboration with the Materials & Logistics Leader to optimize inventory for timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Establish and maintain visual management tools and methods across the site.
- Assist in the design and implementation of work cell and product flow.
- Champion the Lean Strategy for the site, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Facilitate, train, and coach team members in Lean fundamentals.
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to enhance process capability and eliminate defects.
- Act as the site champion for FLIGHT DECK initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with additional relevant experience.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment or 4+ years of manufacturing leadership experience with a high school diploma/GED.
- Flexibility to work any product line and shift as required by business needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Capability to document, plan, market, and execute programs effectively.
- Established skills in project management.
