Key Responsibilities:
The Activity Director will be responsible for the planning, organization, and management of the Activity Department, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This role includes:
- Developing engaging programs that cater to the interests and well-being of residents
- Facilitating group activities and encouraging participation
- Maintaining and organizing activity supplies
- Assisting with individual activities and transporting residents
- Coordinating outings and special events
- Collaborating with various departments to provide optimal care
- Upholding confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Activities Department within a Skilled Nursing Facility, with at least 2 years as an Activity Director
- Certification required
