Fire Protection Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join our team at Colby Co. Engineering in Portland, ME. As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing fire protection systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform fire protection engineering designs, including building and life safety code analysis, fire protection, and mass notification systems.
  • Conduct quality control and construction administration for fire protection projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in fire protection engineering, preferably in a consulting engineering design firm setting.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including fire protection systems and their coordination with other building systems.
  • Successful completion of the FE exam and PE license a plus.
