CAVA is a fast-growing culinary brand with a portfolio of fast-casual restaurants and a packaged goods line dedicated to fresh, Mediterranean-inspired, better-for-you cuisine. Our grocery business continues to grow, and this role will work with commercial leadership to make smart decisions, build data-based stories, and collaborate with both internal teams and external channel partners to expand our CPG business.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Grocery Product Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating meaningful product and sales opportunities to drive growth and profitability. You will lead the development and execution of a subset of these initiatives, analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to inform product decisions, and monitor product performance and adjust strategies as needed.

  • Integrate data from internal and external sources to inform decision-making and build data-based sales stories.
  • Work effectively within our Enterprise Resource Planning system.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key distributors and broker sales partners.
  • Identify marketing support tools required and work with internal creative team to scope and execute projects.
  • Develop and manage a library of resources for sales partners and internal teams.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure successful product, retailer, and initiative launches.
  • Conduct impactful and meaningful DE&I conversations within team and organization.
  • Maintain emotional stability in stressful situations and lead by example for how our team should handle adversity.
  • Manage timeline expectations within and across teams and deliver on responsibilities accordingly.
  • Earn the trust of Team Members and Managers by consistently embracing CAVA's values.
  • Show discipline in bringing consistent performance, communication, and attitude to the job every day.
  • Recognize the emotional stake each Team Member has in personal and organizational success of this business.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or trade marketing in consumer goods.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; MBA is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with various data sources, including POS data.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools, ERP systems, and customer data platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, including an ability to build a cohesive story with both data and qualitative elements.
  • A collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
