Position Overview: Associate Medical Director

Join a prominent multispecialty healthcare organization seeking an Associate Medical Director (AMD) who will operate under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to uphold exceptional standards of clinical excellence and patient care within the Family Practice sector.

The AMD will be tasked with supervising and enhancing the clinical performance of healthcare providers within Family Practice at specified practice locations. This role involves articulating the concerns of Family Practice clinicians to the CMO and other management personnel, while also communicating directives, recommendations, and issues from the CMO and administration back to the Family Practice team. The AMD will foster collaboration and seamless transitions among various clinical services, including but not limited to Behavioral Health, Dentistry, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Specialty Care, and Care Management. The AMD is expected to exemplify clinical quality, effective communication, problem-solving abilities, ethical standards, and professionalism.

Work Schedule:

An AMD working a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week will allocate approximately 8-10 hours for administrative and management duties, alongside 30-32 hours dedicated to clinical practice. A minimum commitment of 30 hours per week (0.75 FTE) is required.

Leadership Expectations:

As a pivotal Clinical Leadership role, the AMD is expected to exhibit initiative and self-motivation, demonstrating accountability for achieving results and progress in management and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of recent experience in outpatient primary care.
  • Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment is preferred.
  • Prior management or leadership experience is essential.
  • MD/DO with a compensation rate of $144.30 per hour.
