Our team at Pennsylvania Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our mission of delivering exceptional patient care, advancing medical research, and educating future healthcare leaders. As a key member of our organization, you will design and implement robust data architecture solutions to support our data management and analytics initiatives.

We estimate the salary range for this position to be around $140,000 - $180,000 per year, based on your qualifications and experience.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, database design, and data modeling, with experience in healthcare data management and analytics. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to define project requirements and develop solutions that meet our organizational needs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Data Architecture Design: Design and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance data architecture solutions to support our data management and analytics needs.
  • Database Design and Optimization: Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, and indexes to support efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
  • Data Modeling and Metadata Management: Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models and dataflow diagrams to represent our data assets and relationships.
  • Data Integration and ETL: Design and implement data integration solutions to consolidate and integrate data from disparate sources, including electronic health records (EHR), clinical systems, research databases, and external sources.
  • Data Governance and Security: Define data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our healthcare data assets.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and develop solutions that meet our organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data architecture, database design, and data management, experience in healthcare data analytics or a related field.
  • Epic Clarity Data Model certification within 6 months of starting the role.
