Role Responsibilities and QualificationsAs a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in our cardiovascular services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the catheterization labs under the guidance of the Cath Lab Supervisor and CV Services Director.
- Demonstrating proficiency in radiographic imaging principles, patient monitoring, and recognizing cardiac arrhythmias.
- Adhering to sterile technique protocols.
- Collecting and organizing data for performance improvement and outcome analysis.
- Supporting the Cath Lab Supervisor and CV Services Director in maintaining efficient department operations.
- Participating in on-call rotations and responding promptly when needed.
Required qualifications include:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technologist or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program.
- ARRT (RT) (R) or ARRT CI/CV/VI or Registered Cardiovascular Specialist (RCIS) certification within 12 months of hire.
- BLS certification; ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab technician role.
- Availability for on-call duties with a prompt response time.
