The hospital is the only Certified Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Labor and Delivery Unit in the area.
In addition, Dallas Regional is the only Trauma Center for 13 miles, and was the first Accredited Geriatric Emergency Room in Dallas County.
The hospital has received numerous awards, including Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Awards, 15 Healthgrades Five-Star ratings over the past three years, and Straight "A" Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group since 2018.
ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice, directing and guiding patient/family teaching, and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients, communicating with physicians about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Current and valid state RN License.
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
Ventilator Management experience preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
