**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
* Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel, maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
* Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
* Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
* Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality, adhering to EMTALA regulations and reporting child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker.

**Requirements:**

* Current and valid state RN License.
* Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
* Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
* Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
* Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
* Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.
* Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
